Hi! I’m Chay, and I help the helpers find their confidence again.
You might feel what many of my clients felt when they arrived: stuck. You remember what it was like to feel productive, effective, and able to take on the world. But, without realizing it, your busy life on the surface had been masking feelings of overwhelm, frustration, and resentment. As helpers, we aren’t used to putting ourselves first. We feel selfish, guilty, and ashamed when it feels like we have to choose between ourselves and the needs of others.
As a helping professional myself, I know firsthand how intense the conflict within can feel. And as a therapist of helpers, I have seen time and time again how a safe space and the right tools can empower each person to direct their gifts of supporting others towards themselves in a balanced and healthy way, finding their way back to the life they love.
Working with a therapist who sees you, understands what you’ve gone through, and provides high-quality care is essential to you reaching your goals. Together, we can find what works for you to rediscover feeling free, competent, and trust in yourself once again.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I am practicing from my home office, located on stolen Land that are sacred to the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe. I thank the Indigenous Peoples for stewarding these Lands for generations. I acknowledge that I occupy and participate in exploitation of Land that are not native to me. I advocate for Land Back and Indigenous Sovereignty. (Give the Land back).
Decolonization is essential to the mental health movement. I acknowledge that I am a work in progress and I am dedicated to continuously growing within and shedding the layers of colonization that have brought me here and no longer serve my clients or me.
May we as a community consider our roles in the liberation, and restoration of Land, language, and culture for Indigenous Peoples on Turtle Island and globally.

I almost titled this “How to Stay Sane in a Chaotic World” because that is an appealing way to get a reader to engage. But I realize today as I write that there are so many ways to do this, and people are living testament to their strategies. We are not just offering tips—we’re doing it. We are staying sane. The memes are jokes and laments of pain we feel. And so many of us are moving through those emotions and finding sources of power within that were always there.
So today, I’d like to share not only from my wisdom but from the wisdom of my clients, the wisdom of my colleagues, the wisdom of strangers who I only know because of the same Internet that overwhelms us.
