SCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS

How will we decide our schedule?

Together, we will discuss the cadence that works best for your goals and the kind of support you need. Life happens, so when changes occur, we will revisit this whenever we need to. This way, we would ensure that we co-create a rhythm that feels secure and reliable. I usually start new clients on a weekly basis, at least for the first month, and then allow for the cadence to shift to biweekly and if appropriate, monthly.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please reach out via email or text as soon as possible. If you cancel 24 hours before the appointment, I honor 7 free cancellations per year for weekly clients, and 5 per year for biweekly clients. Within the 24 hour window, you will be charged the full fee unless we can reschedule within a time frame that honors our cadence.

How does scheduling work with coaching?

In order to distinguish whether coaching is suited for you, we will have a conversation about this in our free consultation should you have more questions. Coaching is designed for flexibility as well as targeting specific decisions or goals. Because of this, it allows for the most freedom and we can decide to schedule as-needed.

OUT-OF-NETWORK INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT

I am currently a private-pay, out-of-network provider. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay your co-insurance for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This can save you on average 70% upfront on our sessions. During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-insurance would be.

You can generally use FSA or HSA cards also for therapy as it will be eligible for mental health purposes. Be sure to check if you have one, as this will be a tax-deductible way for you to receive care. I recommend you check with your insurance provider to ensure that you are eligible.
